Programs will be held at Historic Deerfield and the Pocumtuck Valley Memorial Association Memorial Hall Museum (PVMA). Participants will learn first hand about the colonial community about the tragic consequences of intercultural contact. Primary source documents and a workshop in online resources available in the classroom will increase the content knowledge of the participants and enable them to return to the classroom better able to increase the knowledge of their students after this experience.

The Institute has applied to the Connecticut and Massachusetts Departments of Education to be designated an authorized provider for teachers in those states.
